HOW DOES IT WORK?
The job is different to a fingernail, so the tool is different. A toenail clipper needs a wider cutting edge to span the nail in fewer cuts, and it needs enough steel behind the jaw that the blades do not flex apart under load. When a cheap clipper flexes, the two edges separate and the nail gets crushed and torn instead of cut, which is both painful and the fastest route to a jagged edge that digs in at the sides.
