Tweezers

If a pair of tweezers keeps sliding off the hair, the tips are not meeting properly, and that is the one thing cheap tools get wrong. Every pair here is hand filed from surgical grade stainless steel so the tips close flush along their whole length. Slant tip or point tip?

They do different jobs, and most people end up owning both. A slant tip is cut at an angle so it lies flat against the curve of your skin, giving a long gripping edge that can catch several hairs at once. That makes it the faster of the two for general brow shaping and for strays on the chin, jaw and upper lip. A point tip narrows to a single fine point, which lets you get underneath an ingrown hair, or close around regrowth so short there is almost nothing to hold, and lift it out without digging at the skin.

Why hand filed tips matter

The finishing is the whole thing. A tweezer with even a slight gap between the tips will slide off fine hair every time, which is the single most common reason people give up on a pair. Hand filing closes that gap along the full length of the edge. Surgical grade stainless steel is the same material used for medical instruments, chosen because it holds an edge, resists rust and does not react with skin, so it is a sensible choice if plated or alloy tweezers have irritated you before.

Tweezers for changing hair

Brow hair thins and changes texture through perimenopause in the same way the hair on your head does, and stray hairs start appearing on the chin and upper lip. That combination is exactly where a precise tool earns its money. A hand filed point tip will lift a fine, pale hair that a worn out pair will not even grip.
