Step 1: Squeeze a pea-sized amount of tint into a mixing dish.
Step 2: Add an equal amount of developer.
Step 3: Mix until a smooth, even paste forms, then apply with a tinting brush.

Pro tip: The Apraise guide ratio is roughly 2cm of tint to 10 drops of liquid developer. For a patch test, use 1cm of tint to 5 drops.

Aqua (Water), Hydrogen Peroxide, Sodium Salicylate, Acetic Acid, Disodium Pyrophosphate, Sodium Stannate, Phosphoric Acid.

Do I need a developer to use Apraise tint?
Yes. The colour that comes out of the tint tube is not the end colour. The tint must be mixed with a developer to activate and develop the shade.

What is the difference between the liquid and cream developer?
The Apraise Liquid Developer is the brand's classic formula for use with Apraise tints. The Hairwell Cream Developer is thicker, which gives more control during application and minimises drips around the eye area, and it mixes with either Apraise or Hairwell tints.

How much developer do I use per application?
Equal parts tint and developer, about a pea-sized amount of each. As a guide, Apraise recommends roughly 2cm of tint to 10 drops of liquid developer.

When should a patch test be done?
48 hours before each tinting application. Mix 1cm of tint with 5 drops of developer and apply a small amount to the inside of the elbow or behind the ear.
