How long does the appointment take?
2 to 3 hours depending on hair length and thickness. Feel free to book a consult with Shayna, our Keratin technician, before your first time so she can give you better idea of time needed.
I have blonde hair, can I have this service?
Yes, definitely. Blonde hair responds really well to keratin, especially for added shine and smoothness.
We do recommend a quick consult first to check your hair and chat through expectations. It can soften your toner slightly, so we'll help you plan it around your colour appointments.
Can this be used on coloured hair?
Yes, we recommend you book your Kerasilk service two weeks before your colour service as some pigmentation may fade as a result of the Kerasilk.
How does this differ from a chemical straightening?
Kerasilk Keratin treatment is designed to smooth and soften all types of hair rather than permanently straighten it. It reduces frizz, cut down drying time and make hair more manageable. Curly hair will become looser and more relaxed, while wavy hair can often appear much straighter, but your natural texture is still there.
How much does the Keratin Service cost?
Prices start from: $260 - for short hair that is chin length or shorter. Or fine enough that when it is in a ponytail it's no thicker than a 10-cent coin.
From $325 - for hair that sits on your shoulders and does not sit below your collarbone. Or thick enough that when it is in a ponytail it's no thicker than the diameter of a 50-cent coin.
From $390 - for very long hair that sits below collar bone. Or very thick hair - so when its in a pony tail its thicker than the diameter of a two-dollar coin.
Prices will vary when adding haircut to the service.
