Top Root Touch Up Sprays for Effortless Hair Maintenance

We all hate that feeling when your colour is due and your regrowth is shining as bright as beacon and you have an important event or work presentation to do.

But don't worry, because at Sable, we've got you covered with our range of Root Touch Up Sprays. We're here to break it down and help you find the one that's best for you and your situation.

Let me tell you about our Touch Up products:

Oribe Airbrush Root Touch Up Spray

Oribe Airbrush Root Touch Up Spray

This touch-up spray from Oribe benefits from rice starch ingredient that is great at absorbing dirt and oil, giving that dry shampoo-like feeling when using. It's lightweight, fast-drying and has an easy-to-use, mess-free applicator nozzle that makes it perfect quick on-the-go touch up. Plus, it offers a range of six colours. Something for everybody.

What We Love: This spray provides natural coverage and a dry shampoo effect.

R+CO Bright Shadows Root Touch Up Spray

R+Co offers the biggest selection of colours to match your natural shade. It's made with multidimensional pigment to blend colour seamlessly. Ingredients like pearl extract and biotin nourishes and strengthens the hair leaving it really shiney. It's amazing you have more than 50% grey hair as it is super pigmented. It also has a smart nozzle design for targeted application, a long-lasting effect, and a beautiful fragrance.

What We Love: This spray has a wide shade range and a nice finish.

L'Oreal Hair Touch Up

L'Oreal Hair Touch Up Spray

For those looking for the best coverage, we recommend the L'Oreal Hair Touch Up Spray. Being a colour company, they understand regrowth. Their formulation ensures the best coverage, especially for those with a lot of regrowth and grey hair. It's the 'wettest' of our selection, which means you'll need to let it dry, but the result is long-lasting and you can get days out of just one application.

What We Love: This spray can cope with covering a lot of regrowth.

ColourWow Root Cover Up

ColorWOW Root Cover Up

Colorwow is the only product in our range that comes in powder form instead of spray. It's perfect for those who find sprays too fiddly or messy, and it's great for creating the look of thicker hair. It's also water-resistant, so you don't have to worry about your touch-up fading after a midday swim.

What We Love: In addition to concealing roots, it makes hair look thicker.

Shades:  5

So that is the break down of our range and to help you even further we have given awards to our favourites.

Things to consider

It's important to note that when selecting your colour for root touch-up, it's best to choose a shade that matches your overall hair colour as closely as possible rather than your highlights. This will ensure a seamless blend between your roots and the rest of your hair. Additionally ask your hairstylist or colourist for guidance. They can help you choose the right shade and application method for your specific hair type and colour. Or leave send us a message and we can help you out.

Are you looking for ways to hide your dark roots? It can be a bit tricky, especially if you have a balayage or lighter hair colour. One thing to keep in mind is that you'll need a root concealer with enough pigment to cover up the darkness underneath. So, sheer formulas might not do the trick.

Are you worried about hiding your grey roots? It's not as difficult as you might think. A trick to cover tricky grey patches or the odd streak of grey you can spray it into the cap and use a small makeup brush to paint it on. If your grey roots are stubborn, you can use a highly pigmented touch-up spray like L'Oreal and R+CO for better coverage.

I hope I could help you with your root touch-up questions. Feel free to drop us a message if you have any more questions.nRemember, with the right products and techniques, you can easily tackle roots and pesky greys to keep your hair looking fabulous.
