Buy New Zealand Made & Support Local

I know that with New Years and the year that was Covid, a lot of people including us have done some reflection.

One thing we have been thinking a lot about is New Zealand made and shopping local. Obviously we are a small NZ business, starting with our salon we opened in 2006 and following up with our online store. We appreciate all the support of our clients and online shoppers. Without our online store we wouldn't of got through 2020. I feel for all the other small businesses that didn't have this addition area for revenue or who couldn't pivot their business.

So not only are you (by buying from us) supporting a small business, we are going to make an effort to stock more NZ businesses.

You may of already noticed some of the great NZ brands we already have on board - Adashiko, Penney + Bennett, Hello Cup and Indie & Mae.

Our newest NZ business addition to our store is COMB Manuka Honey Infused Hair Oil. Our first New Zealand haircare product.

"Emily White, founder and nutritionist with a background in science, set out to seek a non-greasy, silicone-free hair formula that works without the addition of any harmful ingredients. After months of research and testing the market, Emily was frustrated to discover that most hair oil treatments contain silicone for its shine properties, however, didn’t align with the potential to negatively impact the health of the hair long term.

With a beekeeper for a partner, it was easy to see that the powerful benefits of Manuka Honey would soon become the hero in this experiment. As a natural humectant, and the ability to hold moisture, the incorporation of Manuka Honey into a hair care routine seemed like a no brainer.

Emily worked with a product developer and regulatory consultant to create a silicone-free hair oil that was infused with Manuka Honey, among other natural ingredients, and thus COMB Manuka Honey Infused Hair Oil was born.
